Troubleshooting Audio Issues

Having trouble with audio capture? Here are common issues and solutions.

No Audio Being Captured

Check Microphone Permissions

  1. Go to system settings
  2. Check microphone permissions for HireBoost
  3. Grant permissions if needed
  4. Restart the app

Verify Microphone Selection

  1. Open HireBoost settings
  2. Check selected audio input device
  3. Test with different microphones
  4. Ensure device is not muted

System Audio Issues

  • Check system volume levels
  • Verify audio drivers are up to date
  • Test with other applications
  • Restart your computer if needed

Poor Transcription Quality

Improve Audio Quality

  • Use a quality microphone
  • Minimize background noise
  • Speak clearly and at moderate pace
  • Position microphone closer to your mouth

Check Internet Connection

  • Stable connection required for real-time transcription
  • Test connection speed
  • Avoid bandwidth-heavy activities during interviews

Adjust Settings

  • Check audio input levels
  • Adjust microphone sensitivity
  • Test different audio sources

Audio Delay or Lag

Network Issues

  • Check internet connection stability
  • Use wired connection if possible

System Performance
